Dana: I’ve always been the smart girl, the careful one.

Not anymore. I feel reckless, desperate. I love him, and it’s senior year, my last chance with him before I leave for college, so I’m going to take it.

What could go wrong? Oh, my God, I had no idea.

Peter: I’ve spent years trying to hide how I feel about her. It gets harder every day.

For so long, she was my best friend, the first person who truly believed in me, sometimes the only one.

Do I love her? Of course, I do. Can I let her get even deeper into the hellacious mess my life is?

No way. You don’t do that to someone you love.

Everything to Me (Book 1 Serialized): A Young Adult / New Adult Romance by Teresa Hill
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this book from the New Adult Book Club for an honest review.

It is hard to separate these novels since I read them all back to back. Overall, I give the whole series a 4. I thought I had the whole series since I had books 1-4, but I was wrong. The 1st book is a little overwhelming, and I felt like I walked in on an ongoing novel. Everyone was related with back stories, and it was hard to keep who belonged to whom straight. I almost needed a flow chart. Other than that, the 1st book is so full of exposition, it is hard to understand. Heck, I just finished book 4 and am still confused about the relationship status of the main characters.
Everything To Me by Teresa Hill
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this book from the New Adult Book Club for my honest review.

Because I am rating books 2-4 a 4 star rating, I am going to lump the reviews together. Although each book ended with a cliff-hanger that kept me coming for more, overall I struggled with this book. It felt like watching an attempted rape survivor struggling with the stages of what happened in real time. It was slow and painful. It is the first book that really deals with the inner struggle of a attempted rape victim in this manner. It was hard to understand at times. Peter has his own past abusive issues, and she has new ones. The scars are fresh in this book and keep mounting. All I have to say is thank God I did not live as a teen with social media. It terrifies me for my son. It is definitely worth the read, but victims may have a really hard time, so be warned.

My 4.5-star review

This book left me with many emotions.  I almost finished it in one night, but I had to put it down because I was sobbing so hard I could barely breathe.  The emotional mess it left me in was almost unbearable.  There were times where I was able to smile and laugh, but the torment Sam, Alex, and Emmett live through is just heartbreaking.  The only reason I give this a little ding is because of the development.  Alec and Sams relationship happens so fast that I never really got to get settled in their relationship.  Maybe that was the point though. Maybe it was supposed to be a whirlwind romance.  Either way that is my little ding, but besides that, this is a must read.  Well, it is if you can handle the emotional train wreck it takes the reader on.  Although it is emotionally draining, all is worth it in the end.  It is like life-ups and downs-but it is what you learn from it that makes you stronger.  So, grab some tissues and get ready to read!

Falling in love isn’t a crime—but falling in love with a Russian mob boss could be deadly.

Competitive tennis player Carter Cook wants a taste of freedom. Her overprotective father monitors every aspect of her life, so when he becomes employed by Vladimir Ivanov –a sexy Russian with an array of tattoos and an accent that weakens her knees—a taste of danger is within Carter’s grasp. Behind her father’s back, she enjoys spending time with Vladimir at his lavish estate. But is he really the upstanding businessman she believes him to be?

Vladimir Ivanov—godfather of a Russian mafia crime ring.

Vladimir spent five years of his life in a Siberian prison camp and has earned every tattoo inked into his skin. He is a powerful man who gets what he wants, and after stalking the gorgeous tennis player for years—he wants Carter. A little charm melts her heart, and behind the scenes, he orders his henchman to track her every move.

He’s a tattooed stick of dynamite ready to blow at the slightest spark.

As their romance reaches deadly levels, Carter senses something’s not right. When she’s lured into a compromising position at the hands of a shady European drug dealer, she calls in Boris, Vladimir’s right hand man, to rescue her—without telling Vladimir. With his authority questioned, he sets out to teach Carter a lesson about loyalty she’ll never forget.

When Carter realizes she’s in too deep, she must fight for her freedom before the attraction turns fatal. But the Russian mafia plays for keeps, and Vladimir’s fierce lust to possess her spirals their romance out of control.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I loved it and hated it all at the same time. At first, it was all encompassing. There was romance, a little weaseling, a little teasing, and lots of sexual chemistry. Then, BAM! out of nowhere, the crap hits the fan. I dont want to give anything away which is why I am so vague. There is no way to really react to this book without revealing something.
So, all I can say is this.this is a crazy adventure to read. It repulsed me and made me crazy but drew me in to the point that I went to Amazon praying for book 2. Sadly, it is not there yet. I HAVE to know what happens next. It is all I thought about today. Sigh, alas, I must wait, but until then go ahead and get this and be ready to get your love hate on.

At first, I saw him as everyone else did. But then, I saw him for who he really was. Recognized the beauty beneath the pain. Loved the quirks disguising the insecurity. Embraced the man who hid behind the boy. But there was so much more… More I didn’t know. And once I did, I couldn’t let go… Of the boy. The man. The lover… …even if his past is threatening our future. Nothing will alter what we’ve built.

I was given this book through New Adult Book Club on Goodreads and the author for an honest review.

This book was a sort of ugly duckling romance. I loved that she is able to see past his ugly duckling issues and see into his soul. Although I will not give the end away, all I can say is that is so awesome. Not only is she able to see him but he helps heal her. I did expect her ex to be a little more prominent in the book because it seemed to lead me there based on what she says at some times, but I was glad the book stayed focused. Good read!

My-5 star Review!

There is nothing better than finding a new author and series to fall in love with. Here I have all these obligations and books to read, but I came across this book through another Goodreads reader and am so happy that I did.  I could not put it down.  I read until 4 in the morning.  Good thing it was a weekend.  What I love about this book is the passion, the humor, and the integration of other supernatural creatures.  I had no idea what would happen next, and honestly, I didnt care because all I wanted to do was learn more about Tessas powers and see her relationships blossom.  Such a wonderful book.  I am off to read book 2 now.

In a novel that’s perfect for fans of Alice Clayton and Emma Chase, Lauren Layne delivers a sexy take on the timeless question: Can a guy and a girl really be “just friends”?

When Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the connection is immediate—and platonic. Six years later, they’re still best friends, sharing an apartment in Portland’s trendy Northwest District as they happily settle into adult life. But when Parker’s boyfriend dumps her out of the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben’s no-strings-attached approach to dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can’t seem to get the hang of casual sex—until she tries it with him.

The arrangement works perfectly . . . at first. The sex is mind-blowing, and their friendship remains as solid as ever, without any of the usual messy romantic entanglements. But when Parker’s ex decides he wants her back, Ben is shocked by a fierce stab of possessiveness. And when Ben starts seeing a girl from work, Parker finds herself plagued by unfamiliar jealousy. With their friendship on the rocks for the first time, Parker and Ben face an alarming truth: Maybe they can’t go back. And maybe, deep down, they never want to.

My 5-star Review!

Lauren Lane is a genius!  I have read most of her books and they only get better with each page.  Blurred Lines at times left me frustrated and yelling at the book, but I love a book that pulls a visceral reaction from me.  Her books always leave me happy and satisfied and always waiting for the next one!

Truth or Dare

Sophie Rogers has left her demons in the past and finally has her life under control…

Three years after leaving high school, where she was endlessly tormented by the school’s golden couple, Sophie has her art degree nearly in hand. Juggling two jobs, she prides herself on her focus and determination to ensure her independence.

Until Ashton King saunters back into her life as a nude model for her art class…

Ashton and Lucinda had made it their mission to make Sophie’s life miserable from the moment she walked into their lives. But now, with Lucinda out of the picture and Sophie back in his sights, Ashton changes the rules of the game and takes it to a whole new level.

Sophie is thrown back into the turmoil she thought was long behind her…

Ashton’s body is made for sin, and his icy blue eyes scorch her with feelings too intense for a heart as scarred as Sophie’s to bear. Glimpses of another side of Ashton give her a flash of hope, but his deceptions run much deeper than she ever dreamed.

Truth or Dare…Which would you choose?

My 5-star review!

Every single time I read a book that makes me hold my breath, tear up, flash with heat, and makes me melt makes me fall in love with reading all over again. This book left me with many emotions. I felt fully invested in both Sophie and Ashtons lives. In many respects, this book is a little far fetched, but McNeil has a wonderful gift of pulling me in and not letting me loose until the last possible second. I loved all the ups and downs of this book. Sometimes it is just nice to read an angsty book knowing that I have to suspend reality just a little.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

The book was just okay for me. I wanted a little more angst and bad-boyness. It was just a nice, sweet romance. Nothing wrong with that for some people, but I like more complication at the beginning, and her friends were really one-dimensional and annoying. But if you are in the market for seeing the good girl win in the end, this is the book for you.

LOVE— it’s a common word that people take for granted. As for me, Sasha Adams, I have seen that love isn’t everything, though sometimes it’s meant to be. But to be honest, I never wanted it. That has been my plan for as long as I can remember. The only person I ever wanted to love is my sister Lola. But then I met not one no, not even two— but three beautiful men.
Dylan, the doctor, had his head screwed on tight. Josh, well, he was a tattooed sex machine playboy. Then there was Brax, the rock star. It was clear they all wanted my heart, but I wouldn’t give it to any of them willingly.

Unwillingly, I fell hard, but there was a part of me that knew he could destroy me. So I refused to give him all of me, and now he’s returned and determined to win me back. But it’s too late, isn’t it?

My 5-star review!

I love it when a book leaves me thinking and emotional at the end.  This book tore me up.  I am still weeping with a broken heart.  All Sasha knows is suffering.  My heart broke throughout the whole story.  The author warns the reader from the start that there is no happy ending.  Parts of me disagree.  I think learning to love no matter how painful at the time is worth any risk.  I love epic love stories and this is one if given a chance to succeed will be huge and long lasting.  The book went in a completely different direction that what I originally thought, but I could not have asked for a better story to start the new year of 2016 off with.

What happens when the glass slippers pinch Cinderella’s toes? When Jaine Andersen proposes a new marketing role to the local amusement park, general manager Dylan Callahan charms her into filling Cinderella’s glass slippers for the summer. Her reign transforms Jaine’s ordinary life into chaos that would bewilder a fairy godmother. Secretly dating her bad boy boss, running wedding errands for her ungrateful sisters, and defending herself from the park’s resident villain means Jaine needs lots more than a comfy pair of shoes to restore order in her kingdom. First in the Storybook Valley series, a blend of sweet romance, chick lit, and fairy tale fun.

I was given this book by Tasty Book Tours for an honest review.
This book had so much potential.  Dont get me wrong, it was a fast read.  One minute I am laughing at her crazy twin sisters and the next I am frustrated with Dylan and his mother.  For the most part, I was in a comfortable bliss just going along with the flow and then I looked down and was 80% through with the book.  I kept thinking to myself there has to be more, but alas it ended.  That is really why I dinged it.  The whole book pulled me in until the last 20%.  All the sudden I felt pushed and hurried to the end.  I like to ease into a romantic ending and feel out the frustration and see the fight to the end, but it is more like you feel good, then BAM, you are upset and frustrated, and then Wham, and sigh, it is over.  Normally, I am more articulate than this, but I really just wanted a more drawn out ending, I suppose.  So far all the other reviewers have been overjoyed and loved it.
